• Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name and email address through our authentication provider (Clerk). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from your Google account.
• Preferences: Competition follows, subscriptions, and notification preferences you set within the Service.
• Communications: Any messages you send to us at admin@waltzwith.me or support@waltzwith.me.

Information Collected Automatically

• Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, timestamps, and interactions with the Service.
• Device Information: Browser type, operating system, device type, and screen resolution.
• Log Data: IP address, referring URL, and access times.
• Cookies and Local Storage: We use cookies and browser local storage for authentication sessions, user preferences, and Service functionality. See Section 6 for details.

• Authentication data is managed by Clerk. Account deletion through our Service triggers deletion of your Clerk account data.
• Usage and log data is retained for up to 12 months for analytics and security purposes, then deleted or anonymized.
• Public competition data is retained indefinitely as part of our competition database, as it is publicly available information.

All Users

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data.
• Opt-out: Unsubscribe from notifications at any time through your account settings or by contacting us.

California Residents (CCPA)

• Right to Know: You may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected.
• Right to Delete: You may request deletion of your personal information.
• Right to Opt-Out: We do not sell personal information. If this changes, we will provide an opt-out mechanism.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

• Authentication cookies: Required for sign-in sessions (set by Clerk). These are essential and cannot be disabled.
• Preference storage: Browser local storage for your display preferences and UI state. No tracking is involved.
• Analytics: We use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights, which are cookieless and do not track users across sites. They collect aggregate page view, referrer, and performance (Core Web Vitals) data only.

We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
• Secure authentication via Clerk (including OAuth 2.0)
• Access controls limiting who can access user data
• Regular security reviews

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@waltzwith.me, and we will take steps to delete such information.

The Service is operated from the United States. If you are accessing the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers are located and our central database is operated.
